Yet she still comes across as odd once you get to know her, and she can definitely come off snobbish and irritating. While she is a little slow with social situations and still faces much misunderstanding, she has begun to 'fit in' a little more thanks to high school. She's extremely academically-focused and has a natural ability to learn quickly. Teiko chases her aspirations to be the best that she can. She moved into dorms with her father's financial support, who continues to send her allowance monthly so that she won't need a part-time job.Ĭonfident, keen, and intelligent. Graduating her senior year with scholarships abound, one from Kamenoko University was particularly high and settled her decision quite quickly, especially since it had close ties to the science-oriented highschool that she attended. However, her grades and memories from Rousseau Academy gave her social confidence, and she was much more open and sociable to people than she used to be. She made a few friends, but none that were as close as her previous school due to the competitive tension. Teiko worked extremely hard in her new high school, facing a phase of minor depression and solitude until her father moved back from America. She valued her career above everything else, so she ended up transferring for her senior year. But her high grades had caught the eye of a prestigious, science-oriented Japanese high school. She slowly opened up to her father again and re-established a relationship with him over emails. Towards the end of sophomore year, she was more sociable and confessions between the two were made. The whole family was separated and Teiko lived with her aunt while attending high school. Yet underneath the stubbornness, she honestly wanted to prove to him that she was capable of being the best student and scientist she could be. She acted as though she hated him for it, too stubborn to answer his emails. Her mother moved back to Finland with her new boyfriend, and her father had to leave to America to conduct research. Transferring into high school was the most turbulent of her years, as it was the same time her parents filed for a divorce for unknown reasons. She was home-schooled up until her elementary years, where her parents finally decided to enrol her in Rousseau Academy, an international school where she would receive the least amount of prejudice for her racial mix (her mother is Finnish). In her childhood, her dream was to walk alongside her father's career and change the world with their research. Teiko grew up in an academic household where her father, an avid researcher in biochemistry, actively pushed her into the sciences.
